Welcome to 2017. Every month this year we will be publishing a photo essay of sorts that cover our travels in Mexico, with short descriptions of where we were when we took the shots, and what we were on-site doing. To start, we’re working with some of the local sights and sounds from the months of October, November and December of 2016.
2016 was another year of fewer blog posts compared to previous years, and more client work. A transition we wanted, and we’re entirely happy with. One we told people would happen, last year; more work on the video game project + more focus on contract work instead of just the blog, as Cris and I developed new goals and objectives post-surgery in early 2014 that changed how we live. After we finished up exploring Riviera Maya Suites, we decided it was time to also take a look at their sister property, the Palmar del Sol condominiums. It’s just a few steps away up on the 5th Avenue, so it’s closer to the action and the nightlife. And, just like their primary apartments and bungalows, there’s a variety of styles and sizes to choose from, with a focus on larger, family-or-group-oriented condos. Read More
The focus for August and September has been food, food, and more food. Between the Foodie’s Guide to Cancun episodes we’ve been filming, and the pilot episode of Cristina’s upcoming cookbook project, we’ve also been involved in a variety of other food-related projects here in Cancun, not the least of which was the most recent Yelp Food Porn Festival. Where Cris promptly snagged a 2nd place position with her Cochinita Pibil photo from our recent shoot at Restaurante Labna. Read More
