For me, one of the most important aspects of being a global traveler and a digital nomad is sharing and networking with other location independent (and location dependent; don’t want to single you out if you haven’t made the plunge yet or are choosing to be rooted to one location!) travelers from around the world. As you know from reading through the Lifestyle material (linked on the right side of the page), above and beyond the reduced cost of living one of my favorite aspects of this lifestyle is meeting other people. I truly believe we are all One People on Planet Earth, and that the boundaries on the maps we have today are nothing more than lines drawn up by people who want to try and control us. That’s why the name of this company is so relevant, because those lines on a map really are nothing more than marginal. They are actually downright imaginary.
In any case, while I use the blog platform and the Facebook page to talk about things from time to time, such as giving useful traveling tips or linking to an article I wrote for another company, such as Real Food and Health or The Social Expat, the newsletter is where I have a chance to talk one-on-one with my fans, followers and fellow digital nomads. It’s a more intimate setting where I can share with you some of my personal revelations, the personal tips I glean from destinations (which are mostly reserved for the travel guides, but I give condensed versions in the newsletters as well for the loyal followers), and my personal recommendations for certain things, along with my plans.
So for those of you who aren’t signed up for the newsletter, I thought I’d give you a little bit of insight into the type of things we talk about in the newsletter above and beyond here at the blog platform and the Facebook page. I’m providing a link here to our latest newsletter, which just came out this morning. In it, I’m talking about the plans for Marginal Boundaries in 2012. There are a lot of projects in the pipeline right now, and while I’ve hinted at them on the blog and Facebook page over the past few months, this newsletter is the first one of the new year, and I’m really laying it out for you guys to see just how far we are getting ready to go and how you can fit into the overall plan for our expansion.
2012 is our first “official” year, and we are coming out of the gates with a bang. I’m porting over the guides to Amazon this weekend (I’m waiting on the Cancun guide to upload presently, then moving onto the next two) so people can have them on their Kindles/iPads/chosen mobile device, but I think the most important aspect of where we are headed is community growth, especially with the affiliate program. I am truly blessed to be able to work online as a digital nomad and I passionately believe with all my heart that the sharing of wealth is one of the most important aspects of growing as a community. There is no 1% or 99% here; rather, there is simply a 50% split. I believe in this lifestyle with all my heart and want to promote it to as many people as possible, and helping people like yourself establish revenue streams so you can enjoy this lifestyle is just one of the many ways I can do that.
I hope you enjoy the newsletter and consider it an honor if you include your name on our subscription list. You also get a free copy of the 30 Ways in 30 Days transitional ebook, so don’t forget to check your mail over the next 24 hours after you sign up so you can get your copy and dive in with the rest of us. Cheers!
